LADY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Lady Knights of Columbus Auxiliary started in 1969 for the purpose of assisting the Knights in their projects.

The Lady Knights meet the third Tuesday of each month beginning in September and ending in May at the Knights of Columbus Clubhouse, at 7:00 p.m. Dues for each member are $5.00 per year.

The membership consists of wives of Knights of Columbus in good standing, together with any woman that is a widow of a former Knights of Columbus and to all Catholic women in good standing. We do have a hostess that is in charge of the dining room for weddings, funeral dinners, and other social events that people are interested in having. Some waitresses are ladies from the Auxiliary while there are other ladies that assist also. Any profits the ladies have is used for new equipment , etc., for the kitchen and whatever else the KC Hall may need. We also give money to various missionary priests and Catholic Schools throughout the area. Bookings for our hall are usually two years in advance as we have a wonderful reputation for our dinners and the atmosphere of our hall is envied by the community.

The ladies have three banquets per year. They are held in September, December, and May as part of monthly get together. Cocktails are at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:00 pm, at a cost of $5.00.

Lady Knights have a Fish Fry during Lent. The proceeds go to the Lady Knights. In September, 2003, Arlene Varney will replace Lucille Herbert as Secretary.
